Link Ability provides community care and intensive support services to people with severe learning disabilities. It is committed to investing in training and developing its people
Assistant Director, Katie Naden first came to Link Ability 18 years ago. However, as the organisation developed she felt increasingly challenged and lacking in confidence. After hearing Helen Bailey of PINNA speak about the benefits of coaching at a breakfast meeting, Katie approached her for help
PINNA designed and delivered a programme of one-to-one and telephone coaching sessions to address Katie’s specific issues. These were mainly related to time management and developing teams at lower levels within Link Ability, a charity with around 90 employees.
PINNA helped me to manage my time more effectively and to delegate to team leaders and help them to experience the success of their endeavours. Now, I don’t do things I don’t need to do, I have pride in others' achievements, I look on mistakes as learning opportunities and recognise my own limitations and ask for help when I need to – I've now got confidence in my own ability
