An optometrist by profession, he runs a successful group of independent practices in and around his home town of Manchester . Having run his own business since he was 16, he has extensive first-hand experience of a huge range of business sectors. Imran has won several business awards and in his spare time works to encourage entrepreneurship, through speaking engagements and mentoring young entrepreneurs. 

Scott Fletcher - Tuesday 25 August 2009

Chairman and Chief Executive of Manchester-based technology infrastructure specialist, ANS Group, Scott Fletcher is Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 and Credit Suisse North West Entrepreneur of the Year. Scott propelled ANS Group's growth, which saw the group's turnover rise by 59% to approximately £10m in 2007/08, and most recently he was awarded Cisco Gold partner status, an accreditation bestowed on only 28 companies in the UK .

Mike Perls established marketing agency MC2 in 1999 and has overseen nine years of straight-line growth averaging 26% year on year, making it the largest independent marketing agency in the North, providing strategic marketing consultancy to deliver PR, brand strategy and design, new media, advertising and investor relations.  Mike sits on the regional board of the IoD, chairs the managing partners' forum, the UK India Business Council Next Gen board and is an active member of the NSPCC Business Group.
